Beloved Eatery To Close After 12 Years In Westchester: 'We've Had Incredible Time'

Although a popular eatery in Westchester will soon be closing, customers will still have some time to make their last few visits, as the business has been granted a lease extension by the building's owner.

Vintage 1891 Kitchen, located in Larchmont at 2098 Boston Post Rd. (US Route 1), is set to close at the end of July.

Vintage 1891 Kitchen, located in Larchmont at 2098 Boston Post Rd. (Route 1), is set to close on Monday, July 31 after more than 12 years in business, the owners announced on social media.

In their announcement, the owners said they are "truly sad" to be closing the chapter on their restaurant.

"We’ve had an incredible time here as we’ve made so many friends we now call family," they wrote, adding, "We’ve always hoped our distinct combination of amazing food, beautiful space, and fun vibe would make people happy and excited to return again and again."

The eatery was originally set to close at the end of June, but in a bittersweet turn of events, the owner of the building extended the restaurant's lease to the end of July after an "outpouring of love and support," the owners wrote on social media on Friday, June 16.

Those who take advantage of the extra month granted to the eatery will be treated to the same "high quality of food" that the restaurant has served for the past 12 years, the owners added.

Options offered on the menu include a wide variety of contemporary American cuisine, including steak, pan-seared salmon, salads, short ribs, and lobster.

The restaurant also serves a vast offering of red and white wines, cocktails, and beer.

After the end of July, the owners said that they are hoping to open another location in Larchmont.

The eatery also currently has a "sibling restaurant" in Pleasantville called Vela Kitchen at 14 Washington Ave., as well as another upcoming sibling restaurant called Vesta Kitchen that will open in Harrison before the end of the summer.

In the meantime, the owners wrote that they are excited to continue serving patrons until the eatery closes.

"As always, we thank you for your support and we wholeheartedly welcome our loyal customers back for the extra month of July!" they said.
